Williamson & Dinham Crowned Winners at SA Youth Masters

Jordan Dinham and Emma Williamson have been crowned the 2018 SA Youth masters champions, after winning the final at Bowland Salisbury on Sunday.

Following two rounds of qualifying, Stage 2 saw the leader in the female division change several times over the eight games with Williamson finishing the block leading Jamie Phelan and Chloe Jones into the stepladder finals.  In the first match, Phelan defeated Jones 204 – 189 to advance to the second match against Williamson.  Phelan continued her solid form defeating Williamson 235 – 172 and force a rematch which Williamson won 246 – 178 to take the title.

In the Male Division, and after bowling a 300 game in the first game of Stage 2, Dinham continued his impressive form to finish in the top position and over 200 pins ahead of his nearest rival, Blayne Fletcher, with Brandon Edwards rounding out the top three, holding off a late charge by Callum Borck.

Edwards then defeated Fletcher 210 – 140 to advance through to the second round match. Dinham continued his fine form to take out the final 231 – 184 and claim the title.
