Whiting Begins 2019 With Strong Performance In Darwin

Bec Whiting has begun 2019 in stellar form, winning the Fishing World & Outdoor Ladies Classic at Planet Tenpin on the weekend by 85 pins.

When competition got underway on Saturday afternoon, Whiting opened with games of 195 and 159.  With a 234 game in the 3rd, the Victorian went on to bowl over the card averaging 201 and sit in third, 44 pins behind leader Bec Martin.  

In stage 2 and with work to do, Whiting matched up on the lanes to bowl games of 234, 269, 228 and 215 and move into 1st place and with a lead of 18 pins.

With Martin only 18 pins behind and Ivy Dickinson also in striking distance, Whiting had 4 games left to hold off the competition.

Opening the final block with 246, Whiting then went onto bowl games of 194, 216 and 245 to streak home 85 pins ahead of 2nd place getter – Bec Martin (3376) and 3rd place Ivy Dickinson (3171).
