Werribee Youth Cup Cancelled for 2021

Tenpin Bowling Australia and host venue WYNCITY Bowl & Entertainment wish to advise that the 2021 Werribee Youth Cup has been cancelled due to the ongoing COVID restrictions in place throughout Victoria.

Originally scheduled for February, a Victorian lockdown at that time forced the rescheduling of the event to October. However, the ongoing situation for the Victorian community with no clear end date in sight has meant the difficult decision being made by tournament organisers and host centre WYNCITY Bowl & Entertainment in cancelling the Werribee Youth Cup.

“WYNCITY has waited as long as possible to make this decision as we understand how important events like this are for the youth of Australia, knowing for some it may be their last year to be eligible to participate. It is devasting for us and for them and the tournament scene as Covid continues to disrupt our lives and our great sport. We will return in February 2022” said Warren Stewart, WYNCITY Tournament Manager.

Whilst unfortunate, TBA understands and appreciates that given the fluid nature of the situation with covid, and the uncertainty associated with this, we must all ensure the health and wellbeing of our bowlers, coaches, staff and venues are maintained.
