2023 State Championship events continue to roll on this weekend with Victoria, North Queensland, and South Queensland state championships commencing.
Following the start of the NSW and SA last weekend, Victoria, North Queensland, and South Queensland begin their state championships this weekend.
Tenpin Bowling Australia wishes all bowlers competing in the Championships the best of luck and high scoring!
Queensland State Championships & Masters (North and South)

Due to the size and popularity of the sport in Queensland, the state championships are split at two venues, one for North Queensland, and one for South Queensland.
Starting today, both events will run over one weekend from the 10-12 February 2023.
The 2023 North Queensland State Championships and Masters will be held at Burdekin Bowl, Ayr, while the South Queensland State Championships and Masters will be held at Coolangatta Tweed Tenpin.
“Tenpin Bowling Association of Queensland (TBAQ) are keen to have a successful state championship split over two venues,” said TBAQ CEO Gail Torrens.
“Our Adult Committee lead is Tyson Jones, who does an enormous amount of volunteer hours with his committees to ensure the state pathways for league bowlers, at all ability levels, are able to participate once a year to make memories, friends, and have boasting rights until the follow year of victories on the lanes.
“We are excited to be able to offer incentives from local business sponsorships and the host venue who are supporting TBAQ events for those that give it a go. Championships are for the everyday league bowler – come and join us!” added Torrens.
Both events incorporate Master events for all levels – restricted, seniors, youth, and open.
Entries are available through TenpinResults.
The Queensland tournament calendar in 2023 is jam-packed with 130 events scheduled throughout the year. Opportunities for junior, youth, adult, senior and persons with a disability are available to view on the TBAQ website – www.tbaq.org.au

2023 Victorian State Championships & State Team Roll Off

The 2023 Victorian State Championships and State Team Roll Off will run over two weeks at ZONE BOWLING Frankston (11, 12, 17,18,19/2/2023).
“We are very excited about the championships with the singles, doubles and teams format,” said TBAV.
“We really enjoy providing an opportunity for our graded bowlers to be able to compete in a state event, especially the new juniors, and the format gives everyone a chance to win.
“It is a fantastic occasion that sees the metropolitan and country bowlers come together with their friendly rivalry,” TBAV added.
Open to all bowlers who are 2023 TBA members residing in Victoria (Albury included), regardless of age, average or ability. The Championships also has a special invitational event for all to enjoy – The Legends/Super stars/Future Stars event. Only held in a metropolitan centre, the event has been held for the past 12 years. All are welcome to come and cheer on their heroes and is preceded by the presentation of TBAV annual awards.
Entries closed on the 8 February, but the tournament team will accept late entries subject to lane availability and extra squads may be allocated if necessary.
