ZONE BOWLING Rooty Hill will play host to the sixth senior ranked event of 2019, the Sydney Seniors Classic and it will be one of only two opportunities left on this year’s national senior’s circuit.

After taking the title in 2017 and 2018, Jeanette Baker will return hoping to make it a three peat.  In 2019, it took till the fourth ranked event of the year for Baker to win her first title when she took out the SA Seniors Classic.  Baker then went onto win the Venuto Cup in May.

Also jostling for this weekend’s senior ladies title will be Christine Clark and Mary Dodds.  Clark won this year’s Campbelltown Vintage Classic and Seniors Australian Open, and currently sits on top of the senior ladies’ rankings and is 50 points ahead of next best Mary Dodds who has two second placings in 2019.

With Janet Baker and Tracey Crisp in the field, the senior ladies title could come down to the final games on Sunday.

In the senior men’s division, 2018 winner Michael Muir will travel from Perth to defend his title.  Having competed at the SA Seniors Classic and finishing in third, the 2019 World Senior team representative will be in contention on Sunday.

After winning this year’s Venuto Cup, Graeme Morgan will head to Rooty Hill with confidence but will face the likes of Michael Holden who sits in third on the rankings and former Australian representative Warren Stewart.

In the grand senior divisions, Jeanette Baker will be hard to stop but with Sarah Knowland in the field, anything could happen.  In the men’s Jim Karakostas, David Farquharson and Bob Whybrow will be contenders in a strong field.

With plenty of action install, if you are in Sydney head to ZONE BOWLING Rooty Hill, 55 Sherbrooke Street, Rooty Hill or view all the standings at www.tenpinresults.com.au.
