The excitement of the inaugural Tenpin Premier League season will air on 29 November on ESPN2 from 7 pm AEDT.
ESPN2 will host three 30-minute shows on 29 November, with highlights from each of the three TPL events in 2022.
- TPL Wodonga Classic – 7:00 pm AEDT
- TPL Suncity Showdown – 7:30 pm AEDT
- TPL Melbourne Decider – 8:00 pm AEDT
“Showcasing our talented athletes on ESPN is fantastic. It aligns directly with our vision for the TPL which is to engage with new audiences for the sport and to highlight our Australian stars,” said Tenpin Bowling Australia Chief Executive Officer Rohan O’Neill.
“This will be a major step forward in growing awareness of the League as well as the incredible athletes.
“It’s the perfect launching pad for 2023 and great that we can revisit the excitement of the TPL on ESPN through these 30-minute shows, ” added O’Neill.

The inaugural TPL season showcased some of the best Tenpin Bowling talent in Australia over three events, including seven-time Professional Bowling Association (PBA) Player of the Year award winner Jason Belmonte.
The TPL saw male and female athletes battling against each other in an exciting new format.
Bowlers were placed in groups to face off against others in full-length matches before the top bowlers would advance to the finals. A fast, ‘every ball matters’ finals format was implemented where bowlers would compete against other top 8 bowlers in a five-frame game. The structure providing an action-packed event with uncertainty in the outcome for spectators.

“We were pleased with how the first season was delivered as we introduced some of the stars of the sport we have in this country,” said O’Neill.
“We continue to aim to promote the game to families who continue to flood into tenpin bowling centres across the country, as well as the wider population to see the sport for what it is – a global, entertaining sport played by highly skilled elite level athletes.
“We thank all the partners and fans who have supported and made the first season possible and cannot wait to come back bigger and better in season two,” added O’Neill.
The ESPN2 broadcast will premiere on 29 November from 7:00 pm AEDT and information about the league can be found on https://tenpinpremierleague.com/ or following the tenpinpl on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
