Tenpin Bowling Australia (TBA) is pleased to announce the release of the inaugural G’Day TBA online member forum.
With well over 100 questions received, TBA was blown away by the response of the tenpin bowling community and their willingness to get involved in the initiative.
Designed to open a channel of communication between members and TBA leadership, the online member forum aimed to provide members with a platform to ask questions and gain insights from senior TBA management and Chair of the Board. The questions submitted were asked by current National Training Squad member and the reigning 2019 World Cup winner, Bec Whiting.
TBA Chair Jerome Joseph and TBA Chief Executive Officer Rohan O’Neill were on hand to address the submitted questions which ranged from the sport’s potential to being in the Olympic Games to league bowling and inclusion.
“We would like to thank everyone who took the time to submit their questions. We were blown away by the number of responses we received,” O’Neill said.
“As an organisation, the Board and executive committee felt we needed to engage better with our stakeholders,” Joseph added.
“It was important in our mind that members got the opportunity to ask questions to the leaders of the organisation. However, we were looking for a way to engage with members at a very different level than ever before; hence G’Day TBA was born.”
G’Day TBA is one of many new initiatives captured within our Stakeholder communications plan for 2022 that also includes a post Board update to State & Territory Presidents that occurs immediately after the Board meeting.
The initiative supports TBA’s strategic plan vision for a thriving tenpin bowling industry that engages and connects communities through play and skill.
The opportunity to engage directly with participants and members is critical to ensuring the National Sport Organisation (NSO) can continue supporting everyone in the sport from all levels of the game.
There are plans to run G’Day TBA online member forums once every quarter throughout 2022.
The first G’Day TBA online member forum session can be found below, or you can head to TBA’s YouTube Channel here.
