Tenpin Bowling Australia (TBA) has confirmed the waiver period on certain rules will conclude on 31 December 2022.
Following numerous extensions from 2020 to 2022, the allowances will be removed, and rules will revert to the traditional TBA rule book in 2023, which can be found here
At the commencement of the COVID-19 pandemic, TBA published several modified rule allowances. These modifications aimed to assist in the reformation of leagues and events to coincide with the restrictions in place.
“We have come to a point where we can move forward in 2023 with the traditional rule book,” explained TBA National Bowling Manager, Morty Douglass.
“The modified rules have assisted some people to bowl throughout the pandemic but now the time is right to revert to the traditional rules.
“The next steps throughout 2023 will be to engage with Centres to look at improving the interaction between our Sporting Rules and the Business of Bowling” added Douglass.
