Earlier this month we shared the news of how Tenpin Bowling Australia (TBA) has welcomed Sports Australia’s new approach to community coaching to encourage more people to play, coach and enjoy sport.
Sport Australia has now launched a new Community Coaching – Essential Skills course to replace the existing General Principles Course.
The Community Coaching – Essential Skills Course helps coaches create fun, safe and inclusive environments for participants.
This free online course includes 8 modules and takes around 3 hours to complete.
It has been designed so coaches can learn at their own pace and complete modules anytime, anywhere, on any device. This course has replaced the General Principles Course.
Developed in collaboration with the sport sector, the new approach is about supporting the development, education and training of coaches and empowering them to provide safe, fun and inclusive environments that focus on the needs of participants.
This new course will replace the current Bronze Community coaching Principles course, but it is open to all coaches for free and is a great personal development opportunity.
