This is the 18th running of the National Youth Cup. The tournament was establish in 2003 at AMF Bankstown, NSW.

Stage 1 – Qualifying
All bowlers will bowl 6 games in each of two separate appearances, changing lanes after each game, even lanes one pair to the right, odd lanes one pair to the left. Males and females will bowl on lanes with their own gender where possible. All play will be on a TBA approved 40ft pattern. The top 15 males and the top 15 females based on scratch pinfall after qualifying will go through to Stage 2. Pinfall will carry over. Entries numbers may require up to 5 bowlers per pair on some lanes.
Stage 2 – Matchplay Final
The top 15 males and females will bowl an additional 7 games in a three-way matchplay format.
Point System
In the matchplay section, bowlers will compete against each other scratch, highest pinfall winning each match.
20 pins – 1st place,
10 pins – 2nd place & 0 pins 3rd
15 pins – 1st place draw
5 pins – 2nd place draw
10 pins each – triple tie
