SNAPSHOT PREVIEW : HAMMER QUEENSLAND SENIORS CLASSIC

By Matt Stevens
January 17, 2020

‘The Hammer’ will host over 120 bowlers in Caboolture this weekend to compete in this weekends Queensland Seniors Classic – the first nationally ranked senior event for 2020

Caboolture Bowl & Mini Golf – QLD

FIRE RELIEF FUNDRAISING

Queensland based bowlers George Frilingos and Dale Stewart raised $900 for the Red Cross Bush Fire earlier in the year at the 2020 Queensland World Cup Of Champions.

A pledge of $2.50 per strike thrown and $1 per spare was made by the pair during the event at Caboolture Tenpin. The efforts were coupled with contributions from other bowlers and spectators in the centre which contributed to the $900 raised.

From the success of this, a group of bowlers are proposing that National Training Squad (NTS) members bowling in the QLD Hammer Senior Classic to join in with the fundraising efforts.

Starting on the 17th January at Caboolture Tenpin, the bowlers will aim to raise a reasonable amount once again for the Red Cross Bushfire appeal.

Caboolture Tenpin staff have committed to the efforts and will be running a raffle with several prizes on offer. A collection container at the bowl will be available for those at the bowl to contribute.

All proceeds raised will be going to the Red Cross Bushfire appeal.

For more information or if you would like to sponsor any of the NTS bowlers in their efforts throughout the Hammer Classic, please contact Dale Stewart on 0432 566 557 / [email protected] OR Suz Wenzel [email protected]
