Tenpin Bowling Australia (TBA) proudly unveils the 2024 National Ranked events schedule.
TBA’s National Bowling & Operations Manager, Nathan Stein, stated, “Releasing the 2024 calendar now provides our bowlers ample time to strategise for the upcoming tournament season. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all tournament promoters for their early commitment, ensuring our bowlers and stakeholders benefit.”
He added, “Historically, TBA has disclosed this information around November, so it’s heartening to expedite this process this year,” added Stein.
The National Ranked Event calendar encompasses several of Australia’s premiere tournaments. These are distributed across unique eligibility categories and are integral to the National Rankings system. This system allows bowlers to contend for national titles and gather ranking points under demanding conditions.
All TBA members are invited to compete in these ranked events, challenging themselves against Australia’s finest bowlers.
In 2024, most divisions will host between four and five events. Following the introduction of TBA Inclusion in 2023, the category will return with three events on the calendar. Moreover, TBA is set to oversee the National Championships in 2024, embracing a time-honoured structure and introducing some exciting new concepts and formats. Stay tuned!
Highlights for the 2024 ranked events include:
- The continuation of the 2023 Open, Women’s, TBA50, and TBA Inclusion events.
- State Championships and Rolloffs are pinpointed for February, March, and August.
- An exciting new tournament in the junior circuit: the Melbourne Junior Cup.
