The 43rd Junior Sydney Cup went down to the wire at Tenpin City, with Nixon Chan and Sarah Pennicott taking home the 2019 titles.

After victories at the Queensland Junior Cup both bowlers entered the stepladder finals at the number one seeds.

After watching Emily Meehan sneak home against Amy Shoesmith (224-223) in the opening match, Pennicott prepared for the final match.

In a low scoring battle, Pennicott found her line to win the match 187-157 and her second ranked event title of 2019.

In the boys division, as the number one seed, Nixon Chan watched 2018 winner, Jordan Dinham defeat Cameron Stein 231-211 in the opening match of the stepladder to then draw Dinham in the final.

With the title on the line, Dinham won the match 235-207 to force the repechage game but it was Chan who hit back winning the final game 191-168.

The under13’s cup was won by Justin Dinham, followed by Sean Lam and Julian Dinham.
