The PBA Tour continues this week with the 2022 PBA Mark Roth/Marshall Holman Doubles Championship set to kick-off the 2022 Guaranteed Rate PBA World Series of Bowling XIII from Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

The PBA World Series of Bowling (WSOB) is an annual multi-tournament event that will see tournaments take place for the next thirteen days.

Five PBA Tour titles will be decided –

  • PBA Mark Roth/Marshall Holman PBA Doubles Championship
  • PBA Cheetah Championship
  • PBA Scorpion Championship
  • PBA Shark Championship
  • PBA World Championship

USA representatives Andrew Anderson and Kris Prather will be on hand to defend their 2021 title in the Mark Roth/Marshall Holman PBA Doubles Championship that begins tomorrow.

As is the case in previous runnings of the Doubles Championship, Belmonte will pair up with Bill O’Neill after winning the event together in 2018. Sam Cooley will be pairing up with Colombian Andres Gomez.

Bowlers will complete two rounds of qualifying of six games before the top 16 teams will advance to two rounds of Baker match play. Following match play, the top 5 teams will advance to the TV show stepladder final.

For the animal pattern championships, ten games of qualifying on each of the three patterns – Cheetah, Scorpion and Shark – will determine the 16 finalists for each event as well as the 30 players who advance to the PBA World Championship cashers round.

After winning his first PBA title in 2021 at the WSOB, Sam Cooley will enter this year’s Cheetah Championship as defending champion.

We have included the entire World Series of Bowling schedule in AEDT timeframes. Please ensure this is correct closer to the running of each tournament as events may move around for various operational reasons.

As always, Flobowling will be streaming the action for international subscribers. Keep up with all the latest on pba.com and flobowling.com

We wish all the Australians the best of luck and high scoring at all events during the 2022 PBA World Series of Bowling.
