Bowler Bio

Getting his start in bowling at the age of eight, after he went with his mother to a pop-up stand in Mount Ommaney – a south-western suburb of Brisbane – offering a tenpin bowling trial in Richlands. It was love at first bowl for Jamie who joined the league the following week.

Born and bred in Queensland, his earliest memories in the sport come from his first 200 game and getting his first reactive ball.

Part of the 2020 TBA Youth Team Challenge boys winning team, it was after winning the 2021 Queensland State Youth Champion that Jamie put his name on the map. With a goal to travel the world for bowling and compete at the top level, his results and hard work paid off when he was named in his first National Training Squash (NTS) this year.

Having started bowling 14 years ago, it isn’t hard to see what has made Jamie fall in love with the sport. He gets to meet heaps of great people and travel all over the country, making unforgettable experiences along the way.

When he’s not bowling he is playing basketball or touch football, on the Xbox or at the gym.
