Tenpin Bowling Australia has released the next two ranked events on the calendar for the Inclusion Rankings and provided an update on the NTS Inclusion selection process.

Inclusion Ranked Events

Following the successful running of the first Inclusion ranked event earlier this year with the Suncity Inclusion Cup, TBA has now released details of the next two ranked events on the 2023 calendar for the Inclusion division.

The National Disability Championship at Zone Bowling Noarlunga in South Australia will be held from the 7-17th June 2023 and has the following events occurring for Ranking Points:

  1. National Disability Championship All Events (Open and Classic Division) – 7-16 June 2023
  2. National Disability Championship Masters (Open and Classic Division) – Friday, 16 June 2023

“We are excited to announce that the next two ranked events for this inaugural year of Inclusion Rankings will be held at the 34th National Disability Championship in South Australia,” said TBA National Bowling and Operations Manager Nathan Stein.

“The Nationals are the perfect spot to host two ranking opportunities for this new initiative at the same location as we believe most wanting to be ranked have already entered the Nationals with over 300 athletes already signed up to compete”.

The inaugural year of the Inclusion rankings will host three events in 2023 with confirmation the TBA Inclusion Masters will not run again this year.

NTS Inclusion

Tenpin Bowling Australia thanks everyone who submitted their expression of interest in joining NTS Inclusion for 2023.

In consultation with the NTS Inclusion Head Coach Louise Eady and the NTS Inclusion Advisory panel, it has been decided to delay the selection announcement.

The Inclusion National Training Squad selection announcement will now be made after the conclusion of the 2023 National Disability Championship.

“We have been impressed with the submissions received through the NTS Inclusion EOI process but are wanting to assess the talent in person at the upcoming ranked events during the Disability National Championships,” explained squad head coach Louise Eady.

“I can confirm that all 2022 NTS Inclusion athletes will automatically be appointed for 2023.”

“There are several categories involved in the NTS Inclusion squad, so we are in no rush to fill each category for the sake of an announcement. Nationals will be the best location to allow us to assess EOI applicants and other potential talent that may not have known about the EOI process in the first place.” added Eady.

Those that applied through the NTS Inclusion EOI for this year have been noted and will be assessed during the 2023 National Disability Championship with a focus on the Open and Classic Division All Events, Open Masters and Classic Masters events.
