We are reaching out to our esteemed bowling community with an important update regarding the 2024 Queensland Ladies Classic.
Originally scheduled for May 4-5, 2024, the event will now take place on May 25-26, 2024.
This change comes as a result of careful consideration and collaboration between Tenpin Bowling Australia (TBA) and the event host and organizer, Caboolture Bowl, with the aim to ensure maximum participation and a seamless experience for all involved.
Why the Change?
The adjustment in dates is primarily due to a coinciding opportunity with the NTS Open that was set for the initial dates. Given the significance of the NTS Open and recognising that many of our top women bowlers were scheduled to participate, there was a concern that these athletes would miss out on the Queensland Ladies Classic. By moving the Classic to later in the month, we are minimizing the impact on those involved in the NTS Open, ensuring our athletes don’t have to choose between two pivotal events.
Caboolture Bowl is excited to host the rescheduled Queensland Ladies Classic and will announce the opening of entries soon. TBA will promptly communicate this information to ensure everyone has the opportunity to enter. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these adjustments.
TBA is also aware of the potential scheduling conflict in October between the proposed TBA50 National Championship date and the Asian Senior Tenpin Bowling Championships in Singapore. Understanding there are several bowlers wishing to participate in both events, we are diligently working to find a suitable solution that minimises disruptions and allows participation in both events to occur. We hope to provide an update regarding this matter next week.
We understand the importance of these events to our bowlers and are committed to providing timely and transparent communication. For the latest updates, please keep an eye on our official website and social media channels.
We thank you for your continued support and understanding.
