Strike 3 Bowling have today announced that due to the ongoing requirement for international arrivals to quarantine for fourteen days in a hotel that the Devil’s Lair Tasmania will again need to be postponed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Strike 3 Managing Director, Ashlee Carroll said “We have hung on as long as we possibly can to make the tough decision to again postpone Devil’s Lair, but it is an unrealistic expectation to expect the world’s best players to quarantine in a hotel for two weeks to take part in the three-day event. I can assure you that they are all very disappointed, however, all of them have already committed to making the trip in 2022, pending a re-opening of our borders at some point over the next twelve months”.

“Our fans and ticket holders have been incredibly loyal, all of which will be disappointed with this news. We cannot expect any ticket holder to hang onto their ticket for another year, given the unexpected journey COVID has taken us all on, so OZTIX will be refunding all current ticket holders over the next few weeks”.

To fill the gap left by the Devil’s Lair, the STRIKE 3 World Championship (now called STRIKE 3 Australia after recent changes were rolled out by the IBF) will be moved to a prime Sunday spot with the final later in the afternoon. Updated STRIKE 3 rules and entry form can be found at www.strike3bowling.com.au

Friday 30 July and Saturday 31 July will see the debut of another exciting ruthless format designed for a younger audience and widespread TV coverage. It’s called MACH 5 and it moves like a jet fighter. It takes half the time of a normal game but deliver’s ten times the excitement and with $5,000 guaranteed for the first ever MACH 5 Champion, thanks to the close relationship between STRIKE 3 and the TBA, it is sure to bring the best players in the country to the Moonah playground. Rules and the entry form for MACH 5 can be found at www.strike3bowling.com.au and let’s just say this; 150 is the new perfect!

Now with more than $40,000 in prize money on offer at this year’s ANC, what better reason could there be to travel to Hobart? It could well be the bowling holiday of a lifetime!
