Getting Ready To Roll….

Looking for more than a program to keep you active? Are you ready to learn something new but never found the right sport? Tenpin Bowling Australia’s new BowlAbilities program was well and truly taking off around the Nation as COVID-19 restrictions changed the field of play. As States cautiously start to lift some of the current restrictions, now might be your chance for new beginnings.

The national TBA participation team have created a series of videos that aim to introduce the basic skills of the sport for all ages and all abilities from the comfort and safety of your own home. Whether you are new to the sport of tenpin bowling or you have had a taste of it before, this fun series will help you stay fit and keep moving.

In the first video, Western Australia’s Sport Development Officer, Mia Buswell, takes you through some of activities that you will learn as part of the BowlAbilities program. Perhaps you have already done a BowlAbilities/Bowl Patrol program? This could be a great way to stay connected to the skills and movements involved in the sport.

If you have not joined one of the exciting BowlAbilities programs yet, this could be a great way to get a head start on some Tenpin Bowling skills. Then you will be fit and ready to roll when we get back on the lanes. Once there, our qualified and experienced Lane Rangers will keep it fun, challenging and can adapt the program to any level of ability. If you are a teacher, support worker and/or family member of people with a disability, check out the series and you will see how easy it is to be involved and stay active.

Be sure to ‘Like’ and ‘Share’ the video on Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram. If you want more information, email BowlAbilities@tenpin.org.au or contact the Sport Development Officer in your State.

Tenpin Bowling prides itself as an inclusive sport for all to play. The BowlAbilities program has been created to provide an inclusive pathway to participation in our great sport. To learn more regarding BowlAbilities or our junior participation program, Bowl Patrol, head to the websites below:
