Tenpin Bowling Australia and Strike3 Bowling have today announced the schedule for the 2020 Australian Adult Championships, to be held in Hobart from the 22nd July till 15th August.

The 2020 schedule will see Australia’s best open, restricted and senior bowlers travel to Tasmania to compete in the 59th running of the Championship, alongside the World’s best professional bowlers including Australian and World number one – Jason Belmonte, in the new and exciting – Devil’s Lair Tasmania.

The 2020 Championship will open with the Classic Cup, Walter Rachuig Trophy and the Australian Masters, seeing both the male and female Masters winners earning the right to compete in the Devil’s Lair Tasmania only days later alongside the likes of Danielle McEwan, Jesper Svensson, Norm Duke and four times Australian Masters winner and Tasmanian – Ashley Riley.

With this exciting announcement TBA CEO Cara Honeychurch said the 2020 Australian Adult Championships and Devil’s Lair Tasmania will be the highlight on the 2020 Australian bowling calendar and is something not to be missed.

“We are excited to partner with Strike 3 Bowling to bring the World’s best professional bowlers to compete in Australia against Jason Belmonte in the Devil’s Lair Tasmania.   This is not only a great promotion for our sport both here and internationally but also provides opportunities for Australian bowlers to play against the best during the Australian Masters”, Honeychurch said.

The announcement confirms next year’s Restricted Cup and Challenge will be held from the 6th to 9th August and the Seniors Cup and Challenge from 12th to 15th August.

Coinciding with the announcement Honeychurch said that the 2020 Championship will also see the removal of the compulsory All Events entry.

“We’ve removed the requirement for participants to complete an All Events entry.  Of course the option is still there for those who enjoy bowling in singles, doubles and team events.  However, we know time and cost is a barrier for many and by giving people the freedom to choose what events are important to them we hope will attract more participants to the Championship.”
