Famous for his two-handed bowling, the nine-time Professional Bowling Association’s (PBA’s) Major winner Jason Belmonte, has shared the tips on his unique delivery as Bowl Patrol ambassador!
The father of three, who’ve all given Bowl Patrol a go, has passed on some of the tricks of the trade to our Lane Rangers (Bowl Patrol’s coaches) across Australia.
“Growing bowling in Australia is very important to me – it’s my home and it’s where I first fell in love with the sport” says Jason from his home in Orange, NSW. Belmonte’s achievement of 18 PBA Titles and four PBA Player of the Year awards can only mean he knows exactly what he’s doing when it comes to knocking down pins.
He encourages kids to give 2-handed bowling a try under the guidance of qualified Bowl Patrol Lane Rangers. Leaving the thumb out of the ball, supporting it with the other hand, and developing your own style of ‘run up’ are all included in the Bowl Patrol program at participating centres.
