Coach accreditation renewal with Tenpin Bowling Australia is valid for 2 years and includes

  • TBA Digital Coach ID Card
  • $20 million of Public Liability Insurance
  • $5 million of Professional Indemnity Insurance

  • Depending on your level of qualification; you have opportunities to:
  • Coach athletes in TBA Registered Centres
  • Become involved in State and National Squad and Team development.
  • Attend National Coaching workshops and Training Programs
  • Attend State Coaching sessions, development days and workshops.

Regular communications and updates are provided by TBA to our registered coaches; sharing opportunities and information about any changes or upcoming events.


Renewal Requirements

Coaches must complete and forward the following documentation when renewing coach accreditation:

Coaching Renewal Fees: Payment required every two year period to maintain coach registration:

Level One Accredited Coach – $50

Bronze Accredited Coach – $100

Silver Accredited Coach – $100

Note: If a coach qualifies for the Volunteer Support Program (Initiative 2) through activity at a State / National level, this renewal fee may be waived by TBA.

  • Confirmation of Working with Children check from their State of residence
  • Signed Coach/Officials Code of Behaviour form (included in Renewal form)
  • Signed Child Protection Declaration form (included in Renewal form)
  • Provide 1 suitable Digital photo (head and shoulders included in the photo with no other people visible and a single coloured background, SMILING high quality photo)
  • Log into the SIA eLearning (ASADA) Portal to complete Level 2 Yearly Update Certificate (Bronze & Silver Only)
  • Log into the Play by the Rules eLearning Portal to complete if expired

– Child Protection Online Course (2 year validity)
– Harassment & Discrimination Online Course (2 year validity
)

  • First Aid Training Courses (must have completed the 2 components below as a minimum):

HLTAID001 (or updated equivalent) Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (12 month validity)
HLTAID003 (or updated equivalent) Provide first aid (3 year validity)


Proof of Coaching/Personal Development

Points required (1 point = 1 hour)

TBA Coach Accreditation LevelMinimum point requirements over 2 year period – 1 point = 1 hour 
TBA Level 1Minimum Total: 30 Points – any level of athlete and competition
Including: Bowl Patrol, Sporting Schools, Junior Leagues & Programs. Development and training as a coach.
TBA BronzeMinimum Total over 2 years: 50 Points
20 – any level of athlete and competition
20 – local/state level (165 average or above)
10 – Mentored training workshops, courses, development.
TBA SilverMinimum Total over 2 years: 80 Points
20 – any level of athlete and competition
50 – local/state level (185 average or above)
10 – State/National Government approved or First-Aid/CPR workshops and courses/working planning, Mentoring.

TBA Accredited Coaches are encouraged to complete a log book of practical coaching hours (PDF or Word) and personal development courses undertaken.

Coaches should supply a copy of this log book upon renewal every two years as proof of points accrued.  Up line Coaches or Centre Managers are able to provide written documentation confirming regular coaching hours as a witness in lieu of a completed logbook.

Once all of the above has been completed, payment has been confirmed and forms submitted to Tenpin Bowling Australia, your coaching renewal will be complete.
