Tenpin Bowling Australia Board
In carrying out its responsibilities and powers as set out in this
Charter, the Tenpin Bowling Australia Limited (TBA) Board will at all times recognise its overriding responsibility to act honestly, fairly, diligently and in accordance with the law in fulfilling its primary responsibility of looking after the interests of the sport of tenpin bowling in Australia.
The Board works to promote and maintain an environment and culture within TBA, wherein the mission and values are central reference points and sources of motivation, for all staff and volunteers.

Jerome Joseph (VIC) Chair Jerome is CEO/Executive Director of BRC Life, a company that is part of the BRC Capital group of companies. With over 25 years of total business P&L responsibility within the Food Service Distribution, Food Manufacturing, Hospitality and Facilities Management /Outsourced Service sectors, Jerome is a highly skilled operational senior executive who has worked with leading 500 organisations across Australia and Asia. Jerome also holds a number of board appointments and this includes Board Member, St Vincent’s Health Australia Foundation Victoria, Advisory Board Member UltraLite Health Management and Chairman Segen Recruitment.
Shane Bernhardt (SA) Vice Chair As General Manager of SA Cricket Association for over 16 years, Shane brings extensive experience in developing sustainability and strategy. Having player, coach and administrator experience, Shane has held High Performance coaching roles in both cricket and tenpin bowling.
Geoff Bowness (NSW) Director Bowler Representative With a Bachelor degree in Design and Technology as well as Industrial Arts, Geoff brings 40 years experience in the sport at State, National and International level. Geoff was a pro shop owner/operator for 35 years. He is also a member of TBA’s High Performance Committee.
Graeme Cox (NSW) IBCA Representative Graeme is the General Manager of the SuperStrike group; a chain of 4 bowling centres across the Newcastle region. Representing the independent bowling centres, with over 20 years’ experience managing bowling centres and a passion for developing the sport, Graeme brings a wealth of proprietor experience to the Board.
Morty Douglass (QLD) Director Bowler Representative Energetic and empathetic, Morty is one of tenpin bowling’s most active volunteers – he is actively involved with bowlers at every level including grass-roots, all-abilities and elite. With broad-ranging communication skills, the proprietor of a small centre, manager of a large centre, proactive TBAQ Board member for over 17 years and Queensland Adult Committee leader for 10 years, Australian and State representative, and experienced Tournament Director and promoter, Morty has unique insights and abilities that span the bowling community at large.
Hish Fernando (VIC) Appointed Director Hish is the Strategic Partnerships and Culture Advisor at ShareTree.org, a charity focused on improving culture and character in organisations. His key focus is driving skills-based volunteering, and culture uplift through impact storytelling and culture programs. Hish’s management consulting and data analytics background has also seen him working across Participation divisions in sports such as Tennis, Cricket and Rugby Union. He is a Director on the board of Protegic, an IT Consulting Firm and QJ Quartzstone, an international building materials business.
Renee Woolley (VIC/TAS) ZONE BOWLING Representative Renee is an experienced Regional Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the entertainment and retail industry. Skilled in Customer Service, Coaching, and Sales, Renee is currently State Operations Manager VIC/TAS for Timezone and Zone Bowling.
