Applications are now open for the program which has helped strengthen the role of female leaders in sport for more than two decades.

Now in its 21st year, the highly regarded Women Leaders in Sport (WLIS) program is delivered by Sport Australia and will distribute $370,000 in grants with the support of the Office for Women.

Tenpin Bowling Australia encourages women to apply from across the Tenpin Bowling sector inclusive of TBA employees, State & Territory Board members, athletes volunteering in some capacity.

The Australian sporting sector has the potential to become leaders in gender equity. To achieve this we need to enhance the recruitment and retention of women leaders, coaches and match officials.

Sport Australia’s Women Leaders in Sport (WLIS) grants support individuals with their career development and organisations with building stronger foundations. Open to all volunteers and staff in the sport of tenpin bowling.

Grant applications are now open and close October 15 at 5:00pm for NSW, VIC, TAS, 4:30pm for SA & NT 4:00pm for QLD and 2:00pm for WA.

The WLIS program has supported more than 26,000 women and 100 local, state and national sporting organisations and enables us to deliver opportunities for women and strive for a greater balance of men and women in senior positions both on and off the field.

Applications for the WLIS individual and organisation grants close on 15 October 2021.
