ABC 7.30 Report Showcases Aussie Bowling Star Jason Belmonte

Monday, June 11, 2018

The ABC’s popular current affairs program 7.30 Report has just aired a segment on the world’s top-ranked bowler, Jason Belmonte.

The 34 year-old, from Orange in New South Wales, has achieved unprecedented success with dozens of titles in national and international tournaments, re-writing the sport’s record books - including the first player ever to win the USBC Masters on four occasions - and sweeping the Professional Bowlers Association tour’s two most defining statistical categories for 2017 – official earnings and scoring average, which included a record scoring pace.

7.30 Report is billed as providing the best analysis of local, national and international events from an Australian perspective and is streamed live on iView.  Its segments, including the latest Belmo feature, are archived online and can be found on the Stories page at www.abc.net.au/7.30/stories.

The program is watched by a national audience of many millions and follows the recent announcement by the PBA and Fox sports of a dramatic expansion in television coverage of the sport across the United States and globally.
