Monday, January 29, 2018

Are you interested in becoming a coach, or increasing your current coach qualification?

TBA offers and conducts approved Level 1, Bronze and Silver Coach Courses across all states, at various locations, based on demand and participant enrolments.

How to become a Coach

There are three levels of Tenpin Bowling Coaching Accreditation: Level 1, Bronze and Silver.

Each level provides the relevant information to equip coaches with the resources necessary to coach athletes associated with that level.  Each level must be satisfactorily attained before a coach can upgrade to the next level.

Level 1:
This is the entry level for coaching in our sport, and is delivered as an online course. It provides the skills and knowledge required to coach beginners of all ages, children, school groups and people with a disability. This is ideal for working with Sporting Schools and Bowl Patrol. Find out more here.

Bronze: The second level of coaching accreditation, Bronze Coaches are trained to work with bowlers from beginner to intermediate; great for taking beginners to the next level. This is a multi-platform course including a two day face to face component, and online assessment. Find out more here.

Silver: This is the third and highest level of coaching within the TBA Coaching accreditations. Coaches are trained to work with intermediate to advanced level athletes, and are eligible to nominate for State or National Team coaching duties. It is a multi-platform course including a 2 ˝ day face to face component, and online assessment with video analysis and practical assessment. Find out more here.
