Australia wins their 2nd medal at the World Youth Championships
At the conclusion of the 11th World Youth Championships in Helsinki the Australian Youth team finished with Silver in the Singles and a Bronze medal in the Men's teams. Australia is very proud of each and every one of you. Well done to you all.
Day 9
Congratulations to Sam Cooley finishing with an 10th placing in the Masters event.
Day 8
Australian Youth Men's team has just won the Bronze medal in the Teams event which has just finished in Helsinki. Congratulations to Sam, Kevin, Ben and Chris and all the team officials a job well done. The Gold medal match will be between the USA and Korea.
Day 6 & 7
Teams - Australia will grab another medal in the World Youth Championships with the Men qualifying in 3rd place for the finals on Saturday morning (Helsinki time). The boys finished with a series of 4952 just 10 pins out of 2nd place, Kevin finished with a 1280, Ben with a 1250, Sam with a 1238 & Chris with an 1184. Our Girls finished the team's event in 13th place with a series of 4625, Lexi with an 1192, Rebecca with an 1186, Laura with an 1133 & Amanda-Sue with an 1114.
All Events - Sam Cooley will be the lone Australian representative in the Masters event finishing in 7th place. The Masters will start on Saturday afternoon and conclude on Sunday. Kevin McRae 31st, Ben Taylor 43rd & Chris Watson 99th. Lexi Nicoll just finished just out of the top 16 finishing in 18 place, Rebecca Whiting 41st, Laura Kairn 68th & Amanda-Sue Fisher 71st.
Day 5
The Men have completed their doubles event yesterday with Kevin & Sam finishing in 8th place with Chris and Ben finishing in 23rd place. After another great series in the doubles event Sam is currently sitting in 5th place on the all events standings and only 51 pins out of a medal place. Lexi is currently sitting in 13th placed in the all events standings. The teams events start today. Following are the current positions for all our team in the all events division:

Lexi Nicoll 13th, Rebecca Whiting 43rd, Laura Kairn 69th & Amanda-Sue Fisher 72nd
Day 4
The ladies completed their doubles events yesterday with Rebecca & Lexi finishing in 18th place with Amanda-Sue and Laura finishing in 30th place. The Men's doubles will be played today the 5th day of competition.
Day 3
Australia has won their first medal of the 11th World Youth Championships being held in Helsinki this week. Sam Cooley from New South Wales has won the Silver Medal in the Men's Singles, congratulations Sam. Our other men finished in the following positions, Kevin McRae 76th, Ben Taylor 93rd, Chris Watson 128th.
