Tasmanian Junior Masters
The Tasmanian Junior Championships concluded last weekend at Launceston Lanes with the running of the State Junior Masters.
In the Boys Division, Jack Deane jumped out to an early lead after a 233 in game 3 of the 8 game final. Brian Morgan's 223 in game 6 & Callen Daly's 233 in game 7 closed the gap, but in the end Jack's lead was to great and he held on to take the Masters title by 25 pins from Callen with Brian a further 13 pins behind in 3rd place.
The Girls final was a very exciting affair with Jessica Nicholas, Kaitlyn Commane & Sarah Lowney fighting it out for the title. The final game had the spectators on the edge of their seats as all three girls put in a strong finish. Kaitlyn shot a final game of 212 to finish 3rd, Sarah bowled 222 to finish 2nd and Jessica's last game of 225 got her over the line by 18 pins for her first state masters title.
Congratulations also to Alexander Parsons & Jessica Griffiths for their wins in the Restricted Masters final.
