The weekend’s Queensland Ladies Classic will once again attract the best female bowlers in Australia for its 21st year when qualifying gets underway on Saturday.

Livestreamed via Cabbowl-live bowling fans will be able to tune in when qualifying at Caboolture Bowl begins on Saturday at 12 noon.

Following a record fifth QLC title last year, leading female bowler Bec Whiting will return and will enter as the favourite. After winning the 2018 title by 353 pins, Whiting has begun this season with a bang, winning the Fishing World and Outdoor Ladies Classic and finishing on top at the Vic 150.

In a strong field, Bec Martin could be another in contention when the finals begin. After a second placing in Darwin and having won the 2016 QLC, the 2019 World Women’s representative will begin her tournament in B squad on Sunday at 3.45pm.

Joining both the Bec’s in B squad will be 2012 winner Alicia Melton. After a second placing in last year’s event, the Caboolture bowler will know how to match up on the lanes and could jump out to an early lead.

All bowlers will complete 14 games of qualifying with the top 16 advancing to stage 2 and the top 8 progressing to the finals.

The national ranked event will be presented by Big Girls Don’t Cry and supported by Mobile Skips, Kegel, Animals Pro Shop and Power Ball Cleaning Wipes.

To catch any of the action get down to Caboolture Bowl & Mini Golf at 207 Morayfield Road, Morayfield or tune into the livestream via Cabbowl-live or keep an eye on the results at www.tenpinresults.com.au
